Tin Poppy Cabin Our original solar-powered cabin featuring Wi-Fi, comfortable amenities, and easy access to trails and nature.
Private Wood-Fired Saunas in the Forest
Lavender, Violet, and Wild Rose each feature their own private wood-fired sauna — our Forest Spa experience. After a day exploring the trails, guests can warm up beside the wood stove, relax in the sauna, and step outside into the cool mountain air surrounded by forest. It’s consistently one of the most memorable parts of a stay at Tin Poppy Retreat.
Hiking, Snowshoeing & Cross-Country Skiing
With 14 km of private trails winding through the property, adventure begins the moment you step outside your cabin. Woodpecker Trail climbs to the highest point on the land, offering panoramic views acrossthe Shuswap and North Okanagan. In winter, the same trails become ideal for snowshoeing, while the renowned Larch Hills Nordic trail network is only minutes away.
Birdwatching & Wildlife Viewing
Spring and early summer are especially beautiful for birdwatching. Lazuli buntings, Nashville warblers, vireos, sparrows, and sandhill cranes are regular visitors to the property. The bird-named trails reflect the incredible variety of species that call the forest home. We recommend downloading the Merlin Bird App.
Pet-Friendly Cabin Rentals
Dogs are welcome at Tin Poppy Retreat. Explore the trails together, relax beside the fire, and enjoy a getaway where your four-legged family members can join the adventure. A small pet fee applies, and pets should not be left unattended in the cabins.
What a Stay at Tin Poppy Feels Like
Life moves a little slower here. Start your morning with coffee on the porch. Spend the afternoon hiking through the forest or relaxing in a wood-fired sauna. Gather around the fire pit in the evening and watch the stars emerge overhead. This is off-grid living made comfortable — a place where nature is truly at your doorstep and where, for a few days, the only thing on your schedule is enjoying the moment.
